links page vs blogroll in sidebar
-
I am looking to move many/most of my links off of the main page and onto a “links” page.
I know that I can manually set up links using html, but is there any way to simply move the existing widget(s) off the main page and onto a new page?
I can’t seem to find a way to utilize widgets on any pages, and I’m trying to “clean up” the main page
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Widgets do not work inside the contents column; they are strictly for sidebars.
You may, depending on your browser, simply be able to drag your cursor over all the links in your widget and copy/paste them straight into a static page.
As for other links, many (most) have operational codes within them that you cannot copy/paste.
WordPress.COM does not allow you to have different sidebars on different pages but WordPress.ORG does. You can refer to the thread at the top of the forums on the differences between the two.

One thing you could do is use the links page template – but it doesn’t work in the theme you’re using. See here:
But there’s another fast way to create a “links” page: you can open the source code of your blog, copy the whole links code at once, and paste it in the html editor of the new page you’ll create.
