    Do I NEED the business plan in order to make my locally download website live?

    Hi there,

    You don’t need the WordPress.com business plan, no, as your locally-hosted website has nothing at all to do with WordPress.com.

    To make that software you used the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org. To bring that site online you need to upload it to a web server, so you either need your own server, or you need a hosting account with a hosting provider like Bluehost or Pressable:

    It’s not possible to upload a local-hosted site to WordPress.com’s servers, as we don’t provide FTP access you’d need to do that.
