Log in with email address not working?

  I’ve been trying to log into my account using my email address, but each time the log in form directs me to use my user name. Why would it be doing this, when the form says that you can log in with email OR username?

  Hi there,

  Sometimes we require you to provide both your email address and username when logging in, as an additional security check. Once you’ve provided your username, you should be able to log in using email only again the next time.
