Logging back in – how do I pick up where I left off

  I’m very new to WordPress and was recently playing around with my site and creating new templates. I logged out so i could see my site as a viewer would…But now that i’ve logged back in I can’t seem to get access to my own site. It does seem to be on the right account as my site is listed but the dashboard looks different and even when I go through my own site or find the familiar dashboard, I am not allowed to edit my site or continue writing. it keeps asking me to set a primary account but whenever I try to, it doesn’t let me type into the boxes. Not sure if I’m just logged in to the wrong thing… Please help! i don’t want to lose a site I just set up.
