Logging into a paid site, no access to code sent by 2-step autentication
-
My site is setup on 2-step authentication. Before I could get it fully setup the screen went blank. I do have my back up codes. I have filled out the account recovery form 2x with the purchase dates, tracking # and other pertinent info. Nothing is received and I cannot get help. I have been locked out for 7+ days
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi! Being locked out for 7+ days on a paid account is completely unacceptable and I understand your frustration.
Since you have your backup codes, here’s what to try first:
- Go to wordpress.com/login and enter your username and password as normal. When it asks for the 2-step code look for a link that says “Use a backup code” or “Try another method” and enter one of your backup codes there.
- If the backup codes aren’t working or you can’t find that option, since this is a paid account you need to escalate this urgently. Go to wordpress.com/help/contact and specifically mention:
- You are a paying customer
- You have been locked out for 7+ days
- You have already submitted the account recovery form twice
- You have your backup codes but cannot access the 2FA option
- Paid accounts get priority support so make sure they know you’re on a paid plan — this should get escalated quickly.
You should not be locked out of a service you’re paying for. I hope WordPress.com staff sees this and gets you sorted out immediately!
