  Hi. I am a graphic designer, I am trying to login to a client’s WP site/dashboard to update some content for them, but for some reason I am unable to access it. The username and password are correct as they can get it on their Windows/IE, but I am unable to on Mac. I have tried both Safari and Google Chrome, but every time I get a message saying the user doesn’t exist. Please help!

  Hi Iain,

  That site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. That site is not connected in any way to WordPress.com, so you won’t be able to access it via a WordPress.com account.

  To log into that site the site admin will need to create you your own user account specific to that site. If you already have such a user account on the site and the credentials for that account aren’t working, another admin on the site should be able to reset the credentials for you, or else you can ask for advice in the self-hosted WordPress forums:
