Hello
I set up 2 wordpress sites 2 years ago, but now I’ve forgotten how to log in.
The first one I set up was called peopleofbritain and with the handle peopleofbritain as an administrator.I then set up jamesbrydges.wordpress.com but still used peopleofbritain as an administrator.
I now want to edit jamesbrydges.wordpress.com, but don’t have access to the dashboard from when I log in as peopleofbritain.
It suggests I ask for administrator privileges, but I can’t log into my own site to grant that.
If anyone has any ideas, I’d be very grateful.

The authors have deleted this site.Deleted .wordpress.com blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
You can register another .wordpress.com blog URL only if it has not been registered previously http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
If you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

I stupidly deleted the peopleofbritain site because I had no more use for it, and because I didn’t realise the relationship between that site and jamesbrydges.wordpress.com.
I just assumed they were 2 different sites. (WordPress newbie.)
If I register a new domain, how will that grant me access to editing jamesbrydges.wordpress.com?
Sorry about this…. treat me like I’m 4 years old :)

jamesbrydges.wordpress.com is owned by georgy55. You will need to log into that account to edit the site. If you are unable to remember the login details, you can reset the password here:

I didn’t realise the relationship between that site and jamesbrydges.wordpress.com.
The two sites are owned by different accounts — which is why you are unable to access jamesbrydges.wordpress.com from your peopleofbritain account.
If I register a new domain, how will that grant me access to editing jamesbrydges.wordpress.com?
There’s no need to register a new domain in order to access that site, you just need to login to a different account :)

I’d forgotten about the 2 usernames….. I must have saved login details for both peopleofbritain and jamesbrydges on the same computer, and so thought they were somehow connected.
You have just saved me a ton of work rebuilding a 2nd site and deleting the old one.
