Login link not being sent

    Have clicked the ‘Forgot password’ link to request code- although I know the password is correct- and have been waiting several hours for the link to be sent. I need actual support from a WordPress person to send me the link manually.

    Hi there,

    We can’t help directly because we don’t host buzzardsbeat.com on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.

    Instead your host (Liquid Web) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. Specifically we use a custom login system on WordPress.com (for enhanced security) that also helps prevent this kind of lockout from occurring. It is also the reason that our password reset tool does not work to help you gain access to your site, since that only works for sites on WordPress.com hosting directly.

    The good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through Liquid Web, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site.     You can ask Liquid Web support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.
