Login Problems

  I created a free wordpress site two days ago to experiment. Just after I decided to use wordpress for the domain that I purchased and I started work on it. However I login with my username and password and it keeps logging me into my old free .wordpress.com account rather than my new account. The problem maybe that I used the same username. I enter my username that is shown on the confirmation email for my own domain site and requested a new password but this still is for the .wordpress.com account rather than my .co.uk site.

  You need to realize WordPress.com and WordPress.ORG are different.

  But you cant login on wordpress.org only on wordpress.com. I have my own domain name that I use wordpress. Is there a way of retrieving a password for a domain name rather than a username after all it would sent the password to the registered email address.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are DIFFERENT. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Login help… in settings we changed the site url from a “.tv” to “.com” and we are now unable to login to the admin panel for our site.

  How can we get back “into” the site admin to reverse the change to its original url.

  Please post the URLs involved here so we have something to work with. Also explain what you mean by this:

  in settings we changed the site url from a “.tv” to “.com”

  In our wordpress admin dashboard. under settings, we went in and under site URL. we changed it from : http://www.winechanneltv.tv to
  http://www.winechanneltv.com

  We hit save and are now not able to log back in to the wp admin panel

  I’m sorry to report that you have accidentally posted to the wrong support forum. We cannot help you here at WordPress.com with that site as it’s not being hosted by WordPress.com and we run on different software. This is the correct forum for your software http://wordpress.ORG/support/
