Losing tags and title when you quick edit/edit an already published post

  Hi all,

  After using the quick edit/edit function to edit an already published post the other day ALL of the tags on that post (and the title) disappeared. Not so bad if I’d only had 1 or 2 tags, I could just fill them in again, but REALLY annoying when you’ve spent time putting in a few in there.
  What can I do to avoid this and be able to edit already published posts (i.e. if I see a typo, or think of another tag to add) without the fear of losing all my tags and title?

  I already tried going back to restore an old version to see if that worked, but looked like the tags had disappeared from there too :-/

  Hi there,

  This shouldn’t happen when you edit your posts, and I’d be happy to look into it to see if there’s an ongoing issue here. Can you send me a link to the post where this happened?

  Also, can you let me know the exact steps you took to edit the post (what links or buttons you clicked on, what you saw on the page, etc.)? That will help me investigate the issue on my end. Thanks!

  Hi there, I did some testing on this issue, and it looks like it is related to using quick edit in Internet Explorer 8.

  Can you try upgrading to the latest version of Internet Explorer or using a different browser to see if that resolves the issue for you? You can find the latest version of popular browsers here: http://browsehappy.com/
