Lost Access to Account (Email Deleted) – Need Site Made Private or Delete
-
I am the owner of a WordPress.com site but have completely lost access to my account because the email associated with it no longer exists. I also no longer have access to the login credentials. I have my user name and the URL domain, which was created on Word Press.
I did not use a paid plan, so I do not have any purchase receipts or URL verification keys. I also did not enable two-factor authentication.
The site is currently public and contains personal content, so I request
- Assistance recovering access to my account, OR
- Help making the site private or temporarily taken down
I am willing to verify ownership through the content of the site or any reasonable alternative method. I prefer not to share sensitive personal details publicly and would be grateful to continue verification through a private support channel. I am hoping to recover the account, and then switch to a paid service.
Thank you

Hi @amymariebb! I’ll be happy to help you with this.
If I understand correctly, you no longer have access to the email associated with your account or the documentation needed for account recovery, right? If that’s the case, the only option would be to request making the site private, as explained here:https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#if-ownership-cannot-be-established
In this case, could you pelase send your request to help@wordpress.com? we’d be happy to continue assisting you privately from there.
