Lost Features

I had something long, deleted it, and here’s the TL;DR: anybody have any good workarounds for the lost/changed features?
Embedding videos are now on premium if you’re posting from a URL (even if it’s from a hosted site elsewhere that I own) and images now can’t be copy/pasted into the block editor and have to be manually inserted with a tool.

It was never possible on the Free Plan to upload videos, but you can always embed videos from Youtube – https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/youtube-block/‘ and several popular platforms – https://wordpress.com/support/videos/#embed-from-other-services
Yes, you can copy and paste an image directly into the block editor. This works for screenshots, image files, or images copied from many desktop apps. WordPress will automatically upload the image to your Media Library and insert it into the block. Yeah, not trying to do either of those things. I’m trying to embed just by pasting URLs.
