Lost my work today and getting password error!

I renewed my blog the theipadartist.com on Monday and changed my password and typed in my credit card. Wrote a new article and typed it up today with pictures and it disappeared!! Yesterday’s version is there but not today’s!!! I lost a whole days work!!! When I try to view yesterday’s version I get a password error but when I try to type in correct password nothing happens!!! Pleeez help ASAP !!! Blogging for other bwriting jobs and need to get my work back from today!!!! Thank you so much in advance!!!

I just checked the domain theipadartist.com — that domain isn’t registered here at WordPress.com or linked to a WordPress.com blog. When I visited it, I was directed to this site: http://artistinvermont.com/
Is that the site you’re working on? If so, you’ll need to contact your website host about this issue. Since it isn’t hosted here at WordPress.com, the support staff here don’t have the tools to help with that.

Hi!! Yes. Am supposed to be writing with WordPress.com never heard of artistinvermont.com before!!! Has my blog been hacked? And what about the credit card number I typed in on Monday? Did they get that?? What should I do now to fix this situation? Thanks for all your help😀

There aren’t any signs that your WordPress.com account was hacked or compromised. I see that you reset your password, but there aren’t any recent transactions or other activity on your account.
You said that you renewed your blog theipadartist.com on Monday — do you remember where you did that? If you have a link to the page where you renewed it or remember where you clicked to do that, it might help us sort out what happened.

I did it in the wordpress app on my ipad when I was prompted to after I tried to access my blog. I reset my password first, then renewed my account. I can rerun the card but the password error now won’t let me do anything😞 not sure where I can go to renew it at this point I don’t have any link sorry!!! Can you tell me where or how to renew then? I did notice that the wordpress app would take me to wordpress in the browser and out of the app? Is it supposed to do that? Or maybe that was a setting I changed? I’m a newbie and have so much to learn!!! Thanks for all your help😀

Is it possible that you tried to renew the domain theipadartistblog.com (not theipadartist.com)? I checked your account and I see that you used to own the domain theipadartistblog.com, but it expired in November 2013.

Yes I found my old notes and it is the ipadartistblog.com so I will try to register it again!!! Still have lost my work from Tuesday and Wednesday unless it shows up when I register again. Will let u know how it goes😀can I also start other free blogs on different subjects? Using the .org?

Ok clicked on theipadartistblog.com notifications and got prompted AGAIN to renew my domain. It said it expired yesterday????? Which I. BELEIVE is incorrect??? Also then telling me it is no longer available? Please help it’s been 5 days losing my patience this should not be such an issue!!!

It isn’t possible to just renew the domain theipadartistblog.com, since it expired a while ago and isn’t linked to your account anymore. You’ll need to register it as a new domain here:

I registered the same domain name (theipadartist.com) and paid the $18. Then I went into wordpress app and still getting domain doesn’t exist error when I try to renew it. Please help again!!!! Thank you!!!

It says my domain is status active and will be automatically renewed on August 30 2015, but that doesn’t help me today!!!!
I also get the error that my domain expired yesterday, and it takes me to the store /domains to contact support. Feeling very frustrated!!! I’ve paid twice and still cannot get around my blog and lost my work ! 😰😁can’t you reboot it and set it straight? Please do something I’ve given you everything I have unless I can email you the screen shots but you as admin should be able to go in there and fix it!!! -

I’m sorry this process is frustrating. It sounds like the problem is specifically with the WordPress app, which isn’t something I can fix from my end. As a first step, I’d recommend logging out of the app and then logging in again, to see if that refreshes everything in the app for you.
You may also want to try logging in to your account on a laptop or desktop computer, to see if any error message come up there.
You’re welcome to email us your screenshots as attachments. If you do that, please let me know once you send the email so I can take a look at them to see what’s going on.
From this end everything looks good on your account, but if I can get more details about what’s going on in your app that may help me walk you through the steps to fix it.

Thank you Rachel just sent the screen shots will try logging off and getting back in. Let me know what you think of it!! I have an older PC but mostly my kids get on there and it hurts my wrists (all that clicking) will try this first💗appreciate your help!!!

Where exactly do I log out? So if I just get out of it I’m not logged out? I’ll keep looking for it feel like such a dummy it must be somewhere! Just incase I can’t find it maybe you’d better let me know! Thanks!!

Sure, sorry about that! To log out, first make sure you’re on a screen in the app where you see “Reader,” “Notifications,” and “Me” icons at the bottom of the screen. (You may need to tap the “Back” button in the top left to get to that screen if you don’t see those icons at the bottom.)
Then, tap on “Me.” In the top right, tap on “Settings.” On the Settings page there, you can tap on “Sign Out” to sign out of your account. Please let me know if you run into any trouble with that!
I looked at your screenshots and signing out and signing in again should refresh everything so it works for you, but if it doesn’t I’ll keep working on that with you.
