Lost Posts After Setting Up Redirect

  Hi,

  I wanted to move my site to a new domain. I purchased the new domain via Dreamhost and set up a redirect from the old site to the new site, but when I went to edit my site all of my posts were gone. I removed the redirect but now I’m not able to access my dashboard to recover my posts. How do I get those posts back? I wanted to keep my wordpress site but just change the URL for branding.

  Since what you described wouldn’t be possible on WordPress.com, I guess you’re talking about a WordPress site hosted elsewhere, we are not able to help with those.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so we can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
