    I am Bonny Van den Bergh, I am THE wife of Rupert Suply. He passed away. He created a website http://www.hopebenefiet.com and it has expired. We would Like to reactivate it but we don’t have the logins. Could you help us? You can contact me at (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Hello Bonny,

    I’m sorry to hear about your loss.

    When it comes to domains there are some pretty strict regulations regarding who can do what with them, and we are quite literally not able to get around those regulations to make exceptions. Only the username that was used to register a domain can take actions such as renewing, cancelling or transferring the domain, so you will first need to gain access to the account in question.

    The domain was bought by the username, hopebenefiet. If you have access to your husband’s email accounts, typing that username into the password reset form should send you a reset link at one of his email addresses which you can use to regain access to the account.

    If you have the receipt from a past payment for the domain, you can use the transaction ID on the receipt to verify your ownership on the account recovery form and we can help you gain access that way:

    Once you email us the documentation outlined there we can follow up with you via email to help you regain access.

    I know this isn’t the simple solution for which you were probably hoping, but both with account access and with domains we need to be careful not to give anyone unauthorised access, and with domains there are regulatory issues at play as well so we need to be extra cautious.

    P.S. I cannot email you, as the email address you provided is connected to the expired domain, and as such will not work, or will soon stop working if it still does at the moment.     * A power of attorney or legal document stating your authority to act on behalf of the deceased, or a signed, notarized statement including:

    – Your first and last name
    – Your current contact information

    – Your relationship to the deceased user
    – The action you’re requesting (e.g., “Please transfer ownership of the account.”)
