Lost site after attempting renaming.
-
My partner was trying to rename her account from elkencrow.wordpress.com to jessetempest.wordpress.com and has lost all of her content. Needless to say she is a little distraught. The reasoning for the change was due to our entrepreneurship professors suggestion and is worth a significant portion of this terms mark. She has lost three years of data. Please help. Thanks very much for you help.

I flagged this for staff attention. Honestly, renaming is one of the top three things that leads to disaster here. Why it must be so, I do not know, but I don’t see it ever going smoothly.

If she has lost access to her WordPress.com account or blog, please have her visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and click “Need More Help?” if necessary.

It seems to be the lost content
from elkencrow.wordpress.com to jessetempest.wordpress.com and has lost all of her content.

http://jessetempest.wordpress.com/ has all of the content that http://elkencrow.wordpress.com/ had.
Changing the name of a blog doesn’t duplicate content, it just moves it from one blog to the other, leaving behind an empty blog (unless you choose to completely delete the blog).
