Mailchimp opt in form problem

  I am having difficulty embedding the mailchimp opt in form into the text widget on the sidebar. I copy and paste the html code but the form doesn’t show up only the code on the sidebar. What am I doing wrong?

  Nothing except trying to paste code that is not allowed here for security reasons. For Mailchimp and Aweber and related opt-in forms, you have to link to those services’ external page for your account. In other words, you have a web page at mailchimp.com so you have to direct people to it to sign up. The code will not be allowed here.
