MAILING LIST SIGNUP

I’m trying to figure out how to incorporate a mailchimp email signup on my page.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
The standard way that Mailchimp suggests you insert their signup form uses javascript and form code, which for security reasons is not allowed on WordPress.com.
However, they provide alternate instructions for signup forms on WordPress.com sites here:

Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Okay, so I looked back on their alternative instructions. I saw they suggested using the general forms option. I can generate a url link with that, so now I am not sure what to do with that and how to get that onto the WordPress site to add the mailing list signup form. I tried using links, but I can’t get those to show up on the page.
I also had a couple of other quick questions. I wanted to see how I could have a row of links to my other sites, like an F for Facebook, a T for twitter, etc.
I also wanted to see how I could eliminate the search bar at the top of the page as well as the comments section at the bottom of the page. Thanks!

Hi Ehsan!

With the Signup Form URL, you can add either a text link or an image link. An image link is super easy to set up with the Image widget. Just setup the widget and place your form URL into the “Link URL” text box.
Let me know if you’d like a different kind of link for your form!

Here’s a guide we have for setting this up in a Text widget:

The only way to remove that search bar would be by using Custom CSS. If you’re interested in doing that, you’ll need the Custom Design upgrade:
Let me know if you have more questions! :)
