MAINTENANCE PAGE OVERRIDE MY HOME PAGE

  Hi there,

  I hope you are doing great! I am desperate to find a solution to my issue. I hope someone can help. I have done a mistake on Sunday and changed the URL of my website to the one of my maintenance page. After that, I could not access WordPress and could not login to my wp-admin.

  After searching on the internet and on my host website, I have seen a video where they explain to change the code on the .htaccess file in the file manager. I did that and it works yayy, I have been able to login in wp admin. I have reverted back the URL in the wordpress settings to my official website link but now another issue came in. My home page displayed my maintenance page and my home page dissapeared completely from my website. I have tried to turn off my maintenance page and set it up as private, tried to delete it but it still diplayed the maintenance page as a home page.

  When I’m trying to modify my home page via Elementor, the pluggin I use, I can see the content of the page however, the content dissapears as soon as I click on ‘see the page’.

  I have tried to login in my FTP and checked my file manager. There are file in the elementor pluggin shown as ‘maintenance.php’ or ‘maintenance.mode’ but when I have tried to delete them I had an error message and an email from WordPress telling me that I have tried to delete a native application from my website.

  I have also tried to restore my website to a previous date and even this does not work. I don’t know what to do anymore and I’m out of options.

  If someone can help it will be really appreciated. This is very stressful.
