Major Issues With WordPress
-
I am working on a project for school and my instructor requires that we use WordPress, which is a nightmare. I have spent I don’t know how many hours on the same page and I keep getting errors from WordPress. The elements do not stay where I place them on the page, the elements constantly change alignment. It could be because your code is not really W3C compliant so it is not easy to fix in HTML5/CSS. More importantly — WordPress keeps giving me error messages every time I try to move buttons around in a hero block! It crashes and I have to do the work all over again.
This project is due in a week and I have barely gotten anything done! Plus, it won’t stay responsive, it’s a mess. I need everything on this page to resize in response to the web browser and the device the site is viewed on — what is going on here?

It looks you are talking about a site using the open source wordpress.org as wordpress.com doesn’t have a hero Block. Before we try to help uou out, what is the URL of your site?

Well, I think you just helped me figure out what is wrong though. My instructor sent us links to this version of WordPress and it is super jenky. Is there a way to get around bad on the open source WordPress site? Is the open source WordPress site owned by WordPress.com or some totally different company?
thanks!

Sorry for the confusion, I just found the info I was asking you about online:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
Whoever created the WordPress.org code that I have been forced to use is NOT a professional programmer.
thank you.
