MAJOR PROBLEM – HELP!
-
Ok…Our wordpress site is missing…Last week I had stupidly typed in an ‘s’ after http (so it would be https, but I didn’t understand what the heck I was doing) and then the site locked me out and has since disappeared. I don’t even know what field I was typing in because I never work in the backend of wordpress, but we are currently trying to transfer the blog to photofolio and they require https (we were http). Did this screw everything up? Please HELP! I don’t even know where to find a missing site, because it’s literally gone – can’t log into it to fix my mistakes.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is not the missing site. The missing site is Jenniferhutz.wordpress.com
It still exists but the images are gone and I cannot log into it. I might have set up 2 sites with the same email address but it was working up until last week and now Jennifer Hutz Word press is gone and it is connecting me to MayfliesUSA which we never even used.

It exists as it is linked to my regular web site:
http://www.jenniferhutz.com/newsBut the images are gone and the link I have used for 7 years to log into WordPress no longer works

jenniferhutz.com is hosted by Immedion
WHOIS: Click Here
IP Address: 205.138.55.139
Name Servers:
ns1.purplecat.net
ns2.purplecat.netThat site is not on our servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs and support forums, and many people get confused about the two.
The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
This is wordpress.COM support. We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.com/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.com/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackHowever, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
See also https://apps.wordpress.org/support/ for app support. -
Thanks. I’ll see if I can figure out, but I used to use this to log into and make post for jenniferhutz.wordpress.com and it worked fine. Not sure why it has all of the sudden stopped working. Do you think my server, PurpleCat, did something on their end? I am pretty computer illiterate so your help and guidance is very appreciated.

Hi there,
mayfliesusa.wordpress.com is the only WordPress.com site listed on your account.
Visiting http://www.jenniferhutz.com/ takes me to a self hosted WordPress.org site, not a WordPress.com site, which is why you are unable to manage it from the account you are logged in to. The differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org are explained here:
When you add https:// to the URL (https://www.jenniferhutz.com/), your site is not being shown because you do not have a valid SSL certificate.
If you visit http://www.jenniferhutz.com/ (http:// instead of https://), you will see your site.
We offer free HTTPS on all WordPress.com sites by default, including those using custom domains. However, when you have a self hosted WordPress.org site, you will need to contact you hosting provider about getting an SSL certificate for your site (if you want one).
If you speak to your hosting provider, they should be able to help you out.
Come back to me if you have any questions.
