Major problems

Good morning, my name is John Dobberstein and I’m public relations manager for District 16 Toastmasters in Oklahoma. Our office oversees 85 non-profit groups throughout the state. I just recently became PRM and had this website handed to me in very bad shape. Licenses are about to expire on 7/31 and I have no way to fix it. We tried to update this page, https://www.oktoastmasters.com/profiles/chandra-nandikolla, and the changes disappeared and couldn’t be recovered. It says the license key for the virtual events calendar is invalid. I’m asking someone to look at the dashboard, tell me what’s wrong and how to fix it or if it can be fixed. Complicating things is that we’re moving to a new WordPress website under construction in a couple of months but members are still using this site with problems right now. I can be reached at

    Site: https://www.oktoastmasters.com/.
    WP.com: Unknown
    Jetpack: Unknown
    Correct account: Unknown

  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with GoDaddy.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

And, you can find support for your events plugin at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/
