make blog dormant

I’m in the process of building a site at WordPress.org under my domain name
<<<eyesofthemountain.com>>>. I have an account with Hostgator and my name servers are pointed in their direction, thus all is well.

Except …. because I’m not quite ready to delete my WordPress.com blog (which is also <<<eyesofthemountain.com>>>) its getting VERY confusing, as I don’t know from minute to minute which one will open. I have to keep double checking to see if I’m on the .com or the .org

So my question … is it possible to close or make my WordPress.com blog dormant and/or close it? I would still like access to it, but I just don’t want it interfering with the new site.
    Blog url: http://eyesofthemountain.com/

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • If I understand correctly what you’re after, there isn’t a way to do that necessarily.

You could delete it, but you won’t be able to recover it. The best you could do at this point would be to set it as Private via Settings -> Privacy in your blog’s Dashboard.
