Make old blog into new 'articles' pages.

Hi there!
I want to migrate my old blog posts into what someone told me is a better idea for someone as lazy as me who can’t commit to regular blogs. I wanna copy and paste them into articles cos apparently this is the best way for lazy peeps to deliver their pearls of wisdom to the world without having to feel bad about failing, like apparently a large percentage do. By turning my old abandoned blog into articles, I’m effecting a Spring clean and getting my mess together once and for all. No really – this time I’m gunna be faithful! But I just can’t work out how to do it…please help!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Could you explain what you perceive to be the difference between posts and articles? Because if I’m reading you correctly, what your friend has advised you to do will get your blog suspended for spamming.

No I’m certainly not intending to spam anyone. I was advised that the difference is, that if you just publish an article on a page whenever you want, you can keep these on separate pages for general browsing with no particular chronological order.
In my understanding, blog posts are a chronologically controlled thing which carry a certain pressure for continuity, hence my desire to simply publish a page whenever I feel like it. Does this make any sense?

No publishing Posts rather than Pages makes little sense at all.
Read the differences between posts and pages here http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication. As the posts are frequently updated and appear on the front page of the site it’s very attractive to search engines.
What most people call a website is merely a page based site that functions as a one way noticeboard. As the structure is page based and as pages are for static content that rarely changes, and as pages do not have RSS feeds it is not as attractive to search engines as a post based blog structured site is.

OK Folks, I’ve actually remembered that the source of the advice was this quote from an online site (with the link below)…
Why a list of articles might be a whack lot better than a blog for you.
1. Most blogs suck.
It is entirely possible that the whole world knows this. Therefore, a new reader might be much more inclined to click a navigation bar link that says “Articles” than one that says “Blog”. So you might actually get MORE readers by having a static list of articles than you would have with a blog. Crazy.
