Make the header clickable

I am trying to make the header image on my page clickable but don’t know how. Any ideas how to do this? I would be grateful!

Hello!
Thanks for getting in touch. Doing a bit of research, I’d suggest you upload your image as a site logo, rather than as a custom header. You can do that by removing your current custom header, and then adding a site logo under Customizer > Site Title, Add Logo. That should automatically make the image clickable to your homepage.

Thanks for helping me out. I tried what you suggested. However, when I choose the header image as logo instead, it doesn’t show at all. The whole header is empty. Any other ideas?

Wait, I got it to work. However, now the picture is very blurry and a lot smaller that it should be.
And since it seems to show the logo smaller than the header image (same image though) the background accent color shows (which is pink in my case). I could make it white but that would mess up the accent color in different places on the website.
This is what it looks like. Any ideas how to deal with these two things? Thanks in advace

Well shoot. The only thing I could find specific to the theme you’re using was from 10 years ago so it looks like that’s no longer an option. 😞
You could switch to a block theme, which would give you way more flexibility in how you set up your site. Here’s a little tutorial about how to customize the header in a block theme if you’re curious: https://wordpress.com/support/site-editor/customize-your-header/
Otherwise, short of modifying the theme files (which would require a Creator Plan), there’s not much else I can think of for this specific case.

Okay, if found a way to make it look correct now. However, the logo is very blurry. I have already uploaded it with higher resolution than specified, but it does not change. If you have any tips on how to make it look as crisp as when it is used as the header, I would be grateful (I changed it back to the header for the time being, so that it doesn’t look bad in the meantime).

This seems still small compared to the header you currently have. You can create one that is 456 x 194 pixels (or close to it) and save it in high resolution for the screen. Let me know if that makes sense!
