Making a blog site for a for profit company

  Hello,
  I am currently working for a client that owns a for profit business and would like to make a WordPress site for its own internal usage. It will mainly be a site/blog that holds company information and product information. Will I need to purchase WordPress for this purpose?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I would say you could start with a simple Free Plan. if you want to use your own domain, you need to upgrade to the Personal Plan or higher, https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  Hello,

  Thank you for the reply. The client has their own server to host the WordPress platform and will be using their own domain for this. The concern of the client is that this might be a grey area since WordPress is originally for non-profit purposes and I will be building the WordPress(for non-profit purposes) within their company, which is a for-profit business.

  As they have their own server, they can use the open source wordpress.org.
