You can soon make a professional looking site using a modern responsive theme that looks good on all screen sizes. https://joshkeepgoins.wordpress.com/ has a very basic old retired theme and doesn’t actually contain any “existing information posted”. There are a number of WordPress.com video tutorials, support documents and staff and volunteers available to offer advice. Web designers tend to use the WordPress.org software.
