Making media easily accessible

How can my contributors see the media I have posted? Right now they have to navigate to the Media section which is hard to find and select the PDF or jpg they want to see.
The Media button seems only to be in the Dashboard Is there a better way that’s more obvious?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • The media you’ve already uploaded would be visible in two places:

    1) In the Media Library, where they can either page through your media assets, or use the search box at the top right.

    2) When a user clicks “Add Media” on a post or page, an overlay window will pop up, where they can scroll through all previously uploaded items. In this view, there is also a drop-down menu where they can choose between different media types, as you can see here:

One thing to keep in mind is that if your users are “Contributors” in the WordPress user role sense – they won’t be able to use either the Media Library or the Add Media button, since that’s not a privilege Contributors get. You would need to promote them to a higher user role if you need them to be able to add media.

Just let me know if you have any other questions.
