Malware after installing a theme

Hi. When changing a theme using WordPress tools on my site hosted at Bluehost.com, the domain was infected. I had to contract with Sitelock to get it cleaned, which they did.

But the scan report came back and showed these were the files that had to be cleaned.

    wp-content/plugins/pluginsmonsters/data/index.php
    wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js
    wp-content/wpplugfile.php
    wp-content/plugins/pluginsamonsters/pluginsamonsters.php
    71ba5704c07aec55402cb7d674cb5783
    wp-content/wpplugdata.php
    wp-includes/wpcfgdata.php
    wp-content/plugins/pluginsmonsters/pluginsmonsters.php
    wp-content/plugins/pluginsamonsters/data/index.php
    wp-includes/js/wp-embed.min.js
    wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery-migrate.min.js
    index.php

How do I contact wordpress to let them know. I don’t want to use this theme anymore.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • @kurtnemes these forums are for the WordPress.com service, but you’re using Bluehost and WordPress.org, so you’ll want to use these forums instead: forums at WordPress.org instead: https://wordpress.org/support

Bear in mind, WordPress.org installations are a do-it-yourself endeavor, but if you’ll search the forums there for the trouble you’re having, you can likely find a solution, and if not you can ask the community for help.

You might also contact the folks you bought the theme from to let them know of the trouble you’re having. Good luck!
