Map a domain name for free

    Hi
    I have previously used wordpress to set up a site and managed to map my domain I already owned for free. This time around with a new business venture – it appears that every time I try to map my new domain it automatically wants to charge for this. Am I missing something?

    Hi Clare, we’ve always had a fee for mapping a custom domain, though we used to allow that as a separate upgrade without a plan. Currently we only allow domain mapping with plans. This helps us keep free features free, and also help us provide faster support to users who buy upgrades.

    All paid plans include a domain credit and extra space, removes our ads, and gives the upgrade owner direct support:
