  Howdy –

  What domain are you working on? The biggest hold up for a domain transfer is that ICANN requires it be at least 60 days old. If you have a brand new domain, then you will proceed with mapping. Neither is permanent and you can switch to the other if you decide it would be a more appropriate fit.
