Map to a domain registered elsewhere

Hello
My blog at heronpark.wordpress.com has been mapped to the domain heronpark.ca for a long time. The ownership of heronpark.ca lapsed, so it stopped working, but I successfully renewed it. Now the mapping of the wordpress blog to heronpark.ca has lapsed, but when I try to renew that, and I get to the page where it says ‘Map a domain name’ and I enter heronpark.ca and press ‘Add’ nothing happens. What gives?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @jameshmclaren, we’re checking this out. I see an error when we try to map that domain as you: “This domain cannot currently be mapped.”

Okay, we found the issue. It would seem you had the domain mapped under another account earlier, and that’s preventing you from adding it immediately.
For now I’ve added the mapping manually, and you’ll just need to renew it right away. Head on over to https://wordpress.com/purchases and click the domain there. Click on the domain, then click Renew Now.
