Mapped domain

I want to re-open an old wordpress site I used to have. I deleted it some months ago and the site is telling me that the domain is already mapped. Help..

Hi there,
What domain are you trying to map?
I see you used to own the domain, ndayisabaa.com, with us. If that’s the domain you want to use, you won’t be able to, as that domain has not yet been released since you cancelled it in March, so no one is able to use that domain at the moment.
Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.
Luckily for you the domain is still on our system, which means we can still restore it to your account. However, as you deleted the site to which it used to be connected, I’ll need you to create a new, free site in your account before I’ll be able to do that.

It’s not possible to re-open a WordPress.com site that you had previously deleted. Only staff can undelete a site, and we can only do that for 30 days after deletion.

Hey, I just created a new account as you requested…
Is it now possible to retrieve the previous domain? -
Yes, we can still recover it, though I see you’ve now created 5 sites on your account.
Specifically which one did you want us to move the domain to?

Yes, you can make that your primary domain at https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/ndayisabaa.com

Last question:
Can I delete the ndayisabaablog.wordpress.com domain and stay with the one you just mapped? -
No, the domain must remain attached to a WordPress.com site in order to be managed at WordPress.com.
