Mapped domain doesn't seem to work (it's probably my fault)
-
I purchased a domain and mapped it to my wordpress site (alwayseavesdropping.wordpress.com). Whenever I change the primary domain to alwayseavesdropping.com, and then I try to go that address, I get a notification that the page doesn’t seem to be there. Actually, it always goes this page: http://dnssearch.rr.com/index.php?origURL=http%3A//alwayseavesdropping.com/&r=
What’s happening? Can you please help?
Thanks,
dan

Looks like your domain is not pointing to WordPress.com name servers yet. Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMFor more information, please visit the help documentation provided by the registrar and our support page:

Thanks very much — but the problem continues. I can’t find where to change the nameservers. The support I’ve been reading says I should check with my “domain registrar,” but I bought the domain through WordPress. I didn’t go to any external site. Where do I go to change the name servers if I just clicked on wordpress “Buy this domain?”

I see. I think something went wrong when purchasing the domain. I’ve just refunded the money back to your WordPress.com account. Could you please try and purchase the domain again?
You can go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.
Please take a look at the following guide before going through the process.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
