Mapping a 1and1 domain name in dot com

  Hello, I have a big issue with 1and1. My domain name is registered in .com and if I want to mapp my wordpress.com blog to my domain, then 1and1 refuses, stating that ‘the operation cannot be done because of the status of the domain name”.

  it seems that I have no problem with some domains in .FR (France) for example, but .COM is a big issue.

  Any generous help? :-)

  We probably need to add a zone record if it’s a .fr domain. What is the domain name that you’re trying to map?

  Hi, thanks for your help!

  The domain name I wanted to map is http://www.anicca-institute.com

  Currently I just made a redirection from it to my blog classicalqigong.wordpress.com

  With a .FR no problem apparantly for 1and1, but with a .COM that is another issue.

  Do you have any idea? :-)

  Well, I guess a zone record wouldn’t hurt.

  I have manually added a zone record for your domain.

  You should now be able to map it here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
