Mapping a blog to a Wix site (hosted through Godaddy)

    Heya.
I have read through the entire map a sub-domain section & I am still not 100% sure which option i need.
I own http://www.foodwithdebbie.com which is hosted through GoDaddy, yet I built the website through Wix.com.
One of my webpages is my blog, which I am currently using through Wix´s own blog app – but i dislike it & want to replace it with the my wordpress blog instead. I understand there is a $13 fee for this which is fine.
I would like step by step instruction of how to go about mapping everything. I followed the instructions (to a point) but cannot find my Cname or DNS things.
    Please help

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi @debbiegilbey1 :)

So your domain is at GoDaddy, www points to Wix, and would you like blog.foodwithdebbie.com to point here?

If so, your first step is to go ahead and buy mapping for blog.foodwithdebbie.com. Then, at GoDaddy, you’ll want to add a cname record that points blog to debbiegilbey.wordpress.com .

When that’s all done, give everything a few hours to take full effect. Let us know if you get stuck or need us to check your settings for you!
