Mapping a domain for free

    Hi There,

    I can’t seem to be able to map my domain in to my new WP site … i purchased the domain through GoDaddy about 30 minutes ago, but not sure that that matters. Have tried using the map my domain feature from within WP, but am notified that the domain has not yet been registered. I’m then taken through to a premium plan payment gateway for an £85 charge which i don’t want to do.

    Any ideas how to create a WP site that is listed under the domain i own with no charges?

    I’m afraid there is no way to do that. Mapping a domain has always been a premium feature on WordPress.com. Premium features are what allow us to be able to offer WordPress.com as a completely free platform.
