Mapping domain question…I'm confused.

This will probably be as clear as mud…but I’m confused on what button I’m supposed to be pushing.
I have a new blog site at http://www.latenightcoffeeshop.wordpress.com.
I bought the domain http://www.latenightcoffeeshop.com through Volusion. I did no work on the site…just bought the domain name yesterday.I went through the proper channels to get it mapped over to wordpress today and it appears I did it correctly, as it showed up in the domains area of my dashboard.
My question: If I want to build an ecommerce site using my wordpress.com address but want people to get to it from my latenightcoffeeshop.com address….which one do I make my primary domain?
Feel free to insert “tech giggles” here….I’m new to this.

Okay…now I clicked the http://www.latenightcoffeeshop.com address and it showed that it indeed comes to the wordpress.com site….that’s what I want.
But sometimes it goes back to Volusion’s mumbojumbo page…why is it not consistently coming back to where I want it? Is it my cookies?

This is NOT an instant process. Please be patient. It takes 24 – 72 hours hours for a domain name change to propagate throughout the entire internet. During the time there will be switching back and forth. We cannot control when each location chooses to flush their DNS cache so the domain name change is made.
