Mapping existing domain

    Hi,
    My i.t. dept is telling me it will take 10 days to get our company’s existing website domain (roundpoint.com) mapped to WordPress. In your Domain Mapping info section it sounds like it’s immediate if we enter the correct info. Please let me know what the timeframe is for switching from roundpoint.wordpress.com to roundpoint.com.

    Hi there, as long as your name servers for roundpoint.com are pointing to:

    ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com

    … then once you add the mapping upgrade through your WordPress.com account, it will be active immediately. If the name servers have been changed only recently, it can take anywhere from few hours up to 48 hours for the DNS to fully propagate, but it usually happens much quicker.

    Your domain is registered here: http://www.joker.com and that’s where the name server updates will need to be made.
