Material on Blog Posts.. I Have a Question..
-
I don’t like how each of my posts are listed on each post. For instance: Let’s say I have two or more posts at my blogsite.. I do not want my others posts listed for viewing from a particular post someone views. Let’s say my post is BlahBlahBlah… I don’t want another post BlahBlahBlah2 available for a reader to view. I want to keep my posts separate from one another and only draw veiwers per post; not viewers for one post to have my other posts available.
My #1 post shows the other posts I have at the top of my post for viewers to see and click on. This is what I don’t want.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can set the front page of your blog to display only a single post. See here > Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most __posts
Click “Save Changes”Although I cannot imagine why any blogger would want to do this, if you wish to remove the ability of your readers to navigate through the blog to find earlier posts, you can create a custom menu and hide display of all pages and categories you create from displaying. You you can remove the Recent Posts widget and categories widget. I do not advise doing that, but it can be done. If your theme does supply “next post” and “earlier posts” entries links or equivalent links depicted by other wording you will need a CSS upgrade to remove them.
Staff have provided this support documentation entry for those who want to structure their blog like a website. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/
What’s critical is to understand when creating a website structure using a custom meny is the following:
1. The differences between pages and posts
http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
2. We organize our posts by use of categories. There is only one dynamic page in a blog and we cannot post to more than one page. However, we can create the appearance that we have done that by setting up a custom menu and displaying Categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation menu. I appreciate your reply; however, it unfortunately does not address my question. My Front Page is not the concern; unless you’re referring to a Front Page as every Post; which, I’m unsure of. My concern is that when one is viewing a post that they have access to my other posts through that one post they’re currently viewing.
I also have used the Widgets and that did not help.

Oh, and I also did this list previously:
Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most __posts
Click “Save Changes”This tells me that, too, that my concern was not addressed correctly; it did not work.
Thanks again for taking your time to reply to me.

The template underlying you theme whch we cannot edit is displaying the two Categories ( Oprah, Oprah Winfrey, Rahm Emanuel) above every post. It also displays a link ro the last post previous to the post being displayed.
In order to “hide” these you have to do as I said above > you will need a CSS upgrade to remove them. If you have CSS editing experience, you can get the paid custom CSS upgrade and renew it annually. It will allow you to stylize the appearance of themes you find here > Appearance > Themes, but it does not allow you to change the functionality, by editing the underlying template. Also note that CSS is theme specific, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM.
Since there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support, I recommend that you don’t buy the upgrade unless you have at least moderate understanding of HTML and CSS because you must be prepared to do the work on your own.
If you are considering purchasing the upgrade, you can go to Appearance > Edit CSS. There wordpress has provided a preview function where you can try before you buy.

It’s essentially impossible to prevent a techsavvy person from reading the rest of your posts unless you set your blog to Private one post at a time and only open one post to the public.
