Media deleted in Worpdress but still available through Google Search!!

Hello everyone, I have quite of an issue with WordPress…
I uploaded a file -wich is my résumé in PDF format- to Worpdress several years ago. It’s in the first results when you look for my name in Google. It’s a direct link to the pdf file.
I just deleted the file from WordPress 2 weeks ago because I realized I mindlessly put in my postal adress, phone number, and way too much personal details. I was young *laugh*.
But still, 2 weeks after deleting the file from WordPress, it’s still online on the Worpdress servers and fully available when you click on the link from Google!
My conclusion is, even if I clicked the “Delete file” button, it’s actually not… It’s very annoying. I’m quite angry at Worpdress.So, someone has a clue about what the hell is going on?

A quick update :
I ran an availability test at uptrends.com with the specific URL of my pdf file (wich is hosted in WordPress servers) and the result is surprising… the file is online from France, but offline from every other countries (404 error).
Besides, my website is available from every country.I must specify that i’m a french guy, actually in France.
Anyone, help? Please? :)

Deleting files from your site doesn’t automatically remove them from Google’s search results. It’s up to the search engine to decide when and how to remove these files and we doesn’t have any control over this. It can take 4-6 weeks for site changes to be reflect in search results but in the meantime, you could try using Google’s Remove Outdated Content tool.
There are no .pdf files in your Media Library so it sounds like you are seeing a cached copy of the file — which has been cached by your browser or in Google’s search results. Can you send a link to the file you are referring to?
