Media library blue box with question mark

    I can’t get jpgs to load on my site – I get a blue box with a question mark. My site is a sub domain and I think it has to do with the htaccess file not providing the correct path to the images or it is a permission issue because I get an error You don’t have permission to access /wp-content/uploads/2019/05/home-2394-1-1024×394.jpg on this server. Blue host was no help – they said it was an htaccess code but did not know what to do. Can anyone help?
