Media Not Showing since last upgrade.

    I’ve had a problem since the last WordPress Upgrade, but note several other comments over a long period of time with the same issue. The photos I have stored in Media Library are greyed out and no photos show when opened. These missing photos do show up when the page they appear in gets edited and I have to save them back to the hard drive then reinstall them. Any photos since this problem first occurred are perfectly fine, but the majority don’t show a thumbnail in media library. I’ve read several forum posts about the problem, but as yet haven’t seen a resolution.
