  We would like to add a feature where our viewers have to pay a monthly subscription to visit the site using a login page. We would really like to have membership levels too. We just upgraded to a premium wordpress.com membership (cafechispa.com).
  Can we do this or do we did we purchase the wrong upgrade? We have 48 hours to cancel, so we appreciate any advice you can offer.

  This is not possible on WordPress.com. Here we only support the possibility to add users to your blog without paid subscription.

  There are no restrictions if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities. We have hosting recommendations at the following link if you are interested.

  Thank you! We read through the description of .com and .org. We were confused because it says it takes plugins. Now we understand the difference, but that was what confused us.
