menu item that I added will not allow me to edit

  How do you fix above situation

  Hi there, if you are using a Custom Menu on your site, you can remove the menu item in the MY SITES>Customizer>Menus and navigate to the menu you created and click on the item to expand it, then click the REMOVE link. Remember to click the Blue Publish button at the top to make your changes live on your site. https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#4-delete-menu-items

  If you did not create a Custom Menu, your navigation menu is showing the default top level pages that have been published, including your blog homepage. In order to remove a menu item, go to your Dashboard>Site Pages and Edit the page. Then under STATUS revert it to a Draft page. It should then be removed from your menu items.

  Thanks for the quick response. I had a custom menu and your suggestions worked.
