Menu Walker Class is overriden by a theme/plugin

    Hello,

I’m very new to WordPress so I hope I haven’t messed anything up here….

For some reason, once my pages are published they show as ‘Page can not be displayed’ (as if it were a dead link). The pages themselves appear to be fine when editing etc. Only seems to happen when I use the menu to navigate to them.

It seemed to have started after I made some changes to the menus.

I am getting an error which I am not sure is related. There doesn’t seem to be a way to attach a screen shot but is basically “Menu Walker Class is overriden by a theme/pluginMenu. Current value=Bridge_Qode_Walker_Nav_Menu_Edit_Custom”.

Do I have a plugin conflict? If so, how can I disable the offending plugin? I did have a look at the list of plugins but nothing seems to be related to the above error?

    Would appreciate any advice.

    Regards,

  • Good Morning –

It sounds like the site is actually using the other version of WordPress. That’s the open source WordPress.org software. It’s different from our managed hosting environment here at WordPress.com.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Help with WordPress.org comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ and if you do not have an account there already you’re going to need one to post in that forum. A volunteer should be able to help you with that menu.

  • I forgot to add, that if you would be interested in using our managed hosting environment we can certainly help you move the site over. Just let us know if you’re interested in a more managed environment and dedicated support team.

Thank you for the reply and apologies for posting in the wrong forum.

Ill chat with colleagues and advise again if we choose to take that path.

    Thanks again!😊
