Menus
-
I want 3 to four separate menus with separate pages. For example: Home, Autobiography, Poems, Short Stories, and so forth. When I add these under menus they are applied right, but I can not add different post to them. When I try to add poems under poems it will show up in Short Stories and visa versa or it will revert back to my Autobiography or the “about” page. How do I create separate “web” or blog pages
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I want 3 to four separate menus with separate pages. For example: Home, Autobiography, Poems, Short Stories, and so forth. When I add these under menus they are applied right, but I can not add different post to them.
Normally, the best way to achieve what you envision would be to use category pages, with a link to each category page in a custom menu. A category page is a type of archives page containing only posts of a single category.
Presently, you have only one category page, the “Uncategorized” category page. Category pages are created when you assign categories to posts. See the Categories support page to learn how to do that.
-
Once you assign posts to categories such as Autobiography, Poems, and Short Stories, the site will automatically create the following category pages:
- https://brandytvickerywordpresscom.wordpress.com/category/poems
- https://brandytvickerywordpresscom.wordpress.com/category/short-stories/
Once you those are present, you may create links to them in a custom menu, and then activate that menu.
