Menus and Navigation Tabs
-
Hello,
I have just started my blog tonight – so still getting the hang of it.
I have added 3 Pages – and made up a few menus.
Along the top of the page – the navigation tabs at the top match those pages that I made – is there a way to hide these ?? there is going to be a lot of pages in the end.
Thought I might have created this the wrong way.
I am having the main page stay like it is – and just having the pages through the menus if I can work it. I have put links for each chapter through that first page as a post.
I tried to read the help section several times – but still not getting it quite right yet.
Any help would be appreciated.
Julie

Hello there,
Are you aware that you can structure your blog like a book? See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ -
Hello Airodyssey – yes I was trying to follow those instructions.
Hello timethief – yes I was mostly following that as well – except for chaing one step – that seems to have worked so far for the little that I have done.
I just need to work out the tabs at the top.

I’m not sure what you’re looking for. If what you want is no tabs at all in the top nav menu, go to Appearance>Menus, create a new menu, give it a title (say, “Blank”), don’t add anything to it, click Save Menu, select that menu from the Theme Locations pulldown, click Save.

Thank you so much – for now – that is exactly what I want – If I need to change it later – I will.
Thanks again.
