Hi there,
To show your posts on the front page, go to Appearance ->Customize ->Homepage settings.
At the top, change the option from Static Home Page, to Latest Posts, and update. Once you do that the front page will show your most recent posts, while your current homepage will become a regular page which you can link to in the menu so people can find it.

Let me know if that’s not what you meant.

Unfortunately that is not what I meant but thank you anyway. What I need help with is the link button on my homepage to get to my blog page is just a simple dash. I would like the button or whatever it is called on the home page to say something like News or Blogs so people will know how to get to my blogs. Thanks again

Are you referring to what you see on the menu on your site?
This is because you’ve added those links to a social menu. The social menu is for displaying links to social media, like your Facebook fan page, Instagram account, etc. If you add a social media link, it will display the social icon of that service. Since you added ordinary links to your site, instead, no icon is displayed:
I’d recommend removing those links from the social menu and adding them to your other menu, instead.
Here’s more information about menus:

I hope that helps :)

I am more confused than ever now. I have not added any links except for this morning I added a link to get to my blog page from my home page. I want my home page to be my primary page which it is but it is not clear how viewers can get to my blog page from the home page. All that appears on my home page is 2 small dashes that gets you to my blog page. How do I name those dashes? Thanks

Hi @charliehillman,
At the moment, you have two menus, each assigned to their own menu location:
- Blogs — this is set as your primary menu
- Primary — despite the name, this is set as your social links menu
What I recommend is un-checking the social links menu, as my colleague noted above. This will get rid of the “dashes” in your menu. You can even delete the menu entirely if you’re not using it.
You can then add any additional links in your Blogs menu (i.e. primary menu). At the same time, you might want to rename it to something like Main Menu to help make more sense of it.
To learn more about menus, please follow this link: https://wordpress.com/support/menus/
If it helps, here’s a screencast that shows how you can go about that: https://d.pr/v/uTeFQG/3nA7uGGmbv
Hope that helps!

Unfortunately all I am managing to do is getting everything to appear over and over again on my blog page and not on my homepage. At this point I am ready to give up. Thank you for your time!

Is this what you’re looking for…
Pages > Add New > select “Blank Page”, or chose “Blog” to pick a template, and click Publish.
Then, Menus > Pages > select the “Blog” page & Save Menu.
Go to your home page, and “Blog” should appear in your menu.
I hope this helps. -
Hi @charliehillman,
Just to take a step back, are you trying to update your menu, or just have your blog posts show on your homepage? If it’s the latter, you might want to try using the blog posts block for that.
Otherwise, if you could just clarify a little further, I’d be happy to help walk you through what you’re looking to do.

Just the button or whatever it’s called to click on, on my homepage that will take you to blog page. Right now it’s just 2 small unlabeled dashes. I would like it to say blogs otherwise no one will be able to find them. I have tried everything suggested and nothing has changed
-
Looking at your site, I see that you have News (All) link in your menu. This is already set as your posts page, which show all your blog posts.
Were you just looking to rename that link?

I would like the news link to appear on the homepage though not the blog page. Everything I try and get news all to appear on my homepage it just shows up again on the menu where the blogs are. There are 2 dashes on my homepage that are unlabeled that get you to the blogs and I want them to say either news or blogs but nothing I have tried has got it to appear on the homepage. Thanks for your time

At the moment, it’s not currently possible to exclude certain menu items on certain pages.

I’m not seeing this as described. Were you able to fix it?
If not, would you please use https://snipboard.io/ to share a screenshot of what you’re referring to?

When I see my homepage I only see 2 small dashes at the top left of my page that say nothing. Those dashes take you to my blog menu. I tried logging out and I still don’t see news all on my homepage. I would like news all to appear on my homepage in place of the dashes. I have tried every suggestion and still nothing. I really appreciate the help but I can’t get it to work

Hi there,
Are you looking on your phone? What you describe sounds like the mobile menu for your theme. To clarify the full menu only shows on a laptops and large tablets, but at smaller screen like a smartphone it converts to a collapsable menu to save space.
Here is a video (at the link) so you can see what I mean: https://d.pr/v/OdCjsZ
This is the default behavior of this theme, so there is not a way to change it other than to switch to a different theme that does display a full menu. The issue is that most of our theme (and most modern websites in general) use a mobile menu of some kind. This is for practical reasons as there is usually not enough room in the header to display the menu as text on really small screen sizes.

Well, nothing has worked! I tried every suggestion and still only 2 dashes appear on my homepage to get to the menu. I tried removing the link that I had to get to my blogs as someone had said. I ended up putting the link to my blogs back on my homepage because that is the only way I can figure out for my viewers to know how to get to my blog. My brain is so fried from trying to figure this out that I am going to call it quits for now and try and be satisfied with how the homepage appears. Other than that I am very happy with homepage and blog page. Thanks for all the help

Yes I am on my phone! I will try on my laptop tomorrow when I am feeling up for it again. It has been a frustrating couple days trying to figure this out. I will get it eventually. Everyone tells me something different but I am sure something will work. Thank you
-
I was finally able to view my site on a desktop computer and everything looks just right. For some reason on my phone the menus don’t display on my homepage. Thanks to everyone! Something must have worked!

For some reason on my phone the menus don’t display on my homepage.
Are you speaking of this?
That’s how it’s supposed to look on mobile devices. Phone screens are too small to show the entire menu, so instead the menu is collapsed and hidden behind a button. So the menu is there, and working exactly as it’s supposed to. It just looks different than on a desktop computer.
This is a standard practice in website design, and all our themes collapse the menu on mobile in this way. It’s not possible to force the full menu to show on mobile instead, so this isn’t something you can change.
