    Is there not way to contact WordPress customer service without posting in a public forum? I seem to have two accounts and I want to merge them. I get emails from both accounts and one site I am following always send emails to both address I used for the two accounts. One account I can log into and the other it tells me it doesn’t recognize the email address, yet I get the emails and when I click on links in the email it shows me an account. How can I merge these two? I want to merge them under the email address that it claims I don’t have registered.

    We provide support for sites using the Free plan on these forums. Live Chat and email support is available to anyone with a paid plan.

    Which account are you having trouble logging in to and which one would you like to use as your main account?

    Let me know and we’ll go from there.

    Seriously? You want me to give you my account information on a public forum that millions of people can see? Surely you can look up the email address for the account I was logged into when I sent this original public post. Can’t you email me on that address to go forward? If not then I’m disappointed in your capabilities but let me know so I can decide if I should proceed here.

    Seriously? You want me to give you my account information on a public forum that millions of people can see?

    You don’t need to provide me with your email address or any other personal details, just your username. Usernames are public facing information and are displayed on the forums when you start a thread or post a reply. We wouldn’t ask you provide information that could compromise the security of your account.

    Surely you can look up the email address for the account I was logged into when I sent this original public post.

    I can see the email address of the account you are logged in to — but the other account you are referring to is completely separate. Without knowing the username I have no way of knowing which account that is.

    Once you have gained access to the other account, you can transfer ownership of the site(s) to the account you want to keep using these steps:

    If any of your sites use a custom domain, that will need to be transferred first. But I can check this for you using the username of the account.
